We have book our holiday in South Africa. Anything we should think about when traveling with children to South Africa?

As of June 1, 2015, new rules apply for travel with children to and from South Africa. Under the new law, all minors (children under the age of 18) will have to present, in addition to the passport, an Unabridged Birth Certificate on entry and exit from South Africa. The personal certificate must be written in English.

Also check with your airline if they need any documents.

    Hi Aimée,

Thanks for those elements. I am planning a trip too with my children. We are seasoned travelers, and we are used to book travel insurance with a UK company (we always compare quotes with Hello Safe – for those interested : https://hello-safe.co.uk/travel-insurance)

Do you recommend to book a special plan for children ? Or a common travel insurance is fine ?

Thanks in advance for your guidance !
