The Royal Durban Golf Club

Tailor made holidays

Royal Durban Golf Club is located in a unique setting within the Greyville Horse Racing Track – an oasis of calm in the bustling city of Durban, Kwa-Zulu-Natal. Founded in 1892, the club has a rich history – the first course had clay “greens” and the fairways were not planted.

Welcome to Royal Durban Golf Club, one of the very few golf courses to be sited in the middle of a horse racing track and has hosted some renowned golfing tournaments in the last 100 years. Whether it’s chasing after that elusive “hole-in-one” on the challenging par 72 layout or socialising over your favourite drink in our members bar, you are guaranteed to want to make the Royal Durban Golf Club your club of choice. The present clubhouse was built in the early nineteen thirties, retaining the gracious style reminiscent of that era and boasts some of the following features which make this clubhouse a hidden treasure.
