*OPTIONAL EXTRA – transfers to/from O.R Tambo International Airport and the project can be arranged (kindly note that this is NOT included in the standard cost of participating). These transfers typically depart from the Bus and Coach Terminal in the morning at 08:45. The return transfer arrives back at the airport at approximately 4pm on the day of your return and as a result, any return flights should be booked for no earlier than 7pm to afford you sufficient time to check-in. Private shuttle transfer times and pick-up/drop-off points can be adjusted accordingly to suit your needs.

*OPTIONAL EXTRA – Private chartered flights to the reserve can also be arranged according to your needs.

Room Description

Furnished with twin beds that can convert to king-size beds, each tent room has an en-suite bathroom with a toilet and shower. The tents open onto a patio with outdoor seating. Wi-Fi is available.

Self-driving guests – Check-in 2pm/Check-out 11am

  • Costs includes accommodation, game drives, activities, conservation fees (21%), and all taxes (15% VAT). Excludes alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.

  • Catering options available at an additional fee. Contact us for exclusive-use group booking rates.

  • SADC Bookings - Proof of SADC residency is required upon check-in at the lodge

  • Medical aid is mandatory for all guests, and must allow for evacuations and working with dangerous animals.

  • Cost of participating does NOT include flights, travel insurance, and transfers to/from the reserve.

  • No children under the age of 12 years unless the camp is reserved exclusively

  • Group bookings include exclusive use of the camp and a vehicle, and thus allows for children of all ages.

  • As above, children under the age of 3 years stay free, 3-12 years at 50% of regular rate.

  • Single supplement of 50% on the per person rate for private rooms (subject to availability)

  • Level of intensity and difficulty of activities dependent on the group’s needs

Working with Wildlife offers wildlife guests some of the best opportunities to witness many of Africa's most threatened and endangered species in South Africa's largest private Big-5 game reserve.

Guests will stay in lovely tented rooms that are furnished with twin beds and can convert to king-size beds or queen-size beds. The tents have en-suite bathrooms with bathroom amenities, toilets, and showers only. Tea and coffee facilities are provided and each tent opens onto a patio with seating enjoying the views.

Wi-Fi is available at camp, and there are certain spots at the camp where internet coverage is available with your cellular provider. It is recommended that guests make use of the MTN network. Please understand that the reserve is extremely remote, and that internet coverage is not always guaranteed.

Guests, if lucky, will have the opportunity to view cheetah, black and white rhino, brown hyena, giraffe, elephant, Lappet-faced Vulture, pangolin, and African Wild Dogs. Nocturnal species such as Aardvark, Aardwolf, Bat-Eared and Cape Foxes, Brown and Spotted Hyenas, Caracals, Genets, Honey Badgers, Leopard, and Porcupines may also be spotted. Game counts, vegetation surveys, and reserve work are just some of the activities you may get involved in, and guests will also have the opportunity to learn about the country's rhino poaching crisis, and can contribute to anti-poaching efforts by identifying signs of poaching and collecting valuable data.
