During this wine tour, we visit producers who are leaders in Organic and Biodynamic wine making. We are guided by a winemaker to hear their stories and to taste their wines.
This tasting program introduces young and old wine estates and wine making styles across the spectrum from light crisp wines to complex and robust red blends. We learn about South African wines as well as how to pair wine with food. Your guide Jim, is South African, he speaks English and Swedish and is a certified tourist guide for all 9 provinces for history, culture and nature as well.
History, culture, nature and wines from 3 wine districts – the charming Paarl valley, Franschhoek who was established in 1688 by French immigrants fleeing religious persecution in Europe and Stellenbosch with some of the finest examples of Cape Dutch architecture, and the historic heart of the country’s wine region.
It’s the smooth bouquet that counts – drink Muratie wines made from the finest grapes, ripened in the South African sun. Every drop in your glass is full of flavour and strength, it gladdens the heart and loosens the tongue.
If you are short on time or perhaps you would like a quick insight into what Pilanesberg National Park can offer, the 1 day tour is a great option. Due to the limited time you will have to explore this Big 5 reserve, your day will be busy, but not rushed!
Bordering on the forests and plantations of Magoebaskloof and the Woodbush Forest Reserve, Graceland Eco Retreat offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a unique type of Mountain Bushveld. The Retreat overlooks the Kudu River Valley with views all the way to Mooketsi and the mountain range beyond.
Graceland Eco Retreat is situated roughly 50km North-East of Polokwane on 85 Hectares spanning the Kudu River Valley. The area is ideal for hiking and birding enthusiasts as it is famous for its unique birdlife, where mountain bushveld with its granite formations and boulders is home to such birds as the Verreaux, Crowned and Long-Crested Eagle, Lanner Falcon, Alpine, Purple Crested Turaco, African Black Swift as well as the famous African Fish Eagle.
